After Tesla teased everyone over the weekend this is their big news. People were trying to figure out if it was going to be the new Roadster or an affordable mass production type vehicle and it seems like the latter is the winner.
The Model Y standard variant is priced just below $40,000, according to Tesla’s website, and the Model 3 standard starts at around $37,000.
I am a little surprised it was not the Roadster which has been hyped up a lot by Elon. It will be interesting if at this price Tesla is able to retake some of the ground they lost in the EV space in the last year and a half with Musks public shift.
