In a recent tune Drake has the following lyric:
I look at this shit like a BTC Could be down this week, then I'm up next week I don't give a fuck if you love me, I don't give a fuck if you like me
I know some Americans are sour because he came out ahead of your guy Kendrick in that recent diss-track saga -- maybe hes hoping to win over some American bitcoiners?
Hopefully next time he raps about self custody.

came out ahead? CAME OUT AHEAD???? What universe do you live in? No but seriously, please enlighten me how he came out ahead. Didn't Kendrick win that rap battle? what did I miss?

came out ahead?
Drake's record sales and streaming dominance still crushes Kendrick's, so maybe a better phrase would have been still killing it?
I listened to the tracks and Drake just has more poise.
Artistry? Maybe Kendrick? Too early to say, imo. There's lots of arguments for/against both artists as to why one is better/worse.
I think it played out at a time when national sentiments were running prrtty high, so it's really hard to make broad stroke judgement about whose tracks have better artistic merit. I found it funny how it all played out.

Only a crazy person would think that Drake came out ahead.
Funnily enough, he's been in bitcoin for a while, I remember he was betting bitcoin on some raptors game back when he was an unofficial member of the team.

Are you sure he said BTC?
reply
No. But given there are several articles already written on it on other crapto news sites and the actual context of his lyric, I'd say chances are pretty high.
