Still unwilling to believe that alleging someone is a pedophile was really a "killing blow." Seemed, rather, to be riding the Epstein/Diddy media sensationalism.
Not sure if how strong a legal precedent this sets. Any idea @siggy47?

I'm not sure. Generally, people who willingly place themselves in the public eye get less protection. Also, if the defamatory statements would cause loss of standing in a person's business or profession the case is stronger. In some circles pedophilia is a badge of honor. Finally, truth is an absolute defense😀

Seeing ass they're both signed to the same label, and the approximate alignment with the 51st state narrative, my best guess is the whole thing was just a clever ploy for streams/chart rankings/sales.
What's hotter these days than meaningless squabbling with strangers online?

It turns out that most everyone in entertainment was diddling something or another they shouldn't be, so the surprise isn't that someone might or might not be a pedophile, at least not to me. What is surprising is that there was actually a case over it. Rap battles, via folks like Eminem, have been saying things like that and worse for a long, long time.

Was it a rap battle though? A feud fought with "diss-tracks" feels more accurate. Nothing about it felt freestyled.
What is surprising is that there was actually a case over it.
For people like us it does feel a bit ri-god-damn-diculous, but, then again, with Drake's money/lawyer's then why the fuck not?
