Inflation effects

This is happening as well in CFB market. Took my kids to a SEC game last year and ticket prices were $330 each + $350 for single night in Holiday Inn Express near the game. By the time you add in food, gas, etc its a $2000 price tag to go to a game.

Say back in 1980, I feel there is no way that "bringing the kids to a game" represented such a high percentage of average monthly income as it does now? A $2K "game price" probably represents 30% of average monthly income?

You sound like a big college football fan. I hope your kids are grateful football fans.

Did you buy your seats on the secondary market like seat geek or stub hub?

Yep was seat geek I think.

Which reminds me, those places are kinda rip offs and charge very high "service fees" for transfer of tickets. Like $45 each or something....

not kinda but unequivocal rip offs

I think Vivid Seats has the lowest fees
