Conspiracy take is either the government has been under continuity ops since Jan 6 2021, following the invocation of the insurrection act, and this is all a fugaz to make the optics of drastic reformation digestible to the public... the regime would have no hurdles to coercing most dems to play a part in exchange for staying out of gitmo... or they're just blackmailed into doing this to set the stage for something bigger to come next.
Timing is interesting with Middle East and China stuff.

Those were routine, nothing happened.
At scale RIF's are a happening, using Tariff to selectively fund government is a happening.
It's not just happening, its habbening.
