Martti is well known to have been an earlier tinkerer with Bitcoin, one of the first, early 2010 or so... and yet...

I first ran into him in a small group chat for GUN when I was developing the original ShockWallet, using with GUN to connect Lightning to the web in a social context exactly as I use Nostr now. GUN was the pre-cursor to Nostr, with fiatjaf having come up with something simpler but with the same basic properties after we discussed both my likes and issues with GUN...

Martti during my early demos with ShockWallet and GUN scoffed, mocked it, and said I should use DOGE instead. This was 2019/2020, he was still completely dismissive of Bitcoin nearly 10 years into him bragging about how early he was.

Then Nostr got traction with Bitcoiners, and now he's Mr. Nostr too.

No further comment but you'd be right to sense my distaste.
