Yes, there's not much we can do about that.
Ideally, trust can overcome that. If there's just one person downzapping you and many upzapping, then it becomes prohibitively expensive to throttle your posts.

Still, it's too demoralising when you see your post suddenly get pushed back to the bottom of the list after standing on top for quite some time.

It's not punishment if it's directed to the stacker rather than the content. In my case I feel like I'm the one being downzapped not my content.
