Perhaps you recall earlier this year when Block released a tool for "visualizing Bitcoin treasuries" (#939419). At the time I was a little confused as to what it was useful for. I suppose it is nice to visualize and all, but it didn't seem like many treasury companies were going to make their data public, so at beat it was a cute internal tool.
But then here comes Abdel with a way to use Starks to prove Bitcoin holdings without revealing which utxos are owned...and it is connected to this treasury visualizer by Block.
zkpoor provides cryptographic proof of BTC reserves without revealing individual addresses or UTXOs, strengthening Bitcoin's culture of verifiable trust.
There is a live demo, but it seems like it is mostly a mockup and is not actually generating a real stark proof.
All the same, it's a cool concept (and excellent naming). It would be an interesting addition to the treasury company party if a few of them started doing proof of reserves in this manner (as far as I know, Nome of the really big players have actually published a proof of reserves).
