It is a move that does sort of play in our favor with helping prevent China from moving into the space that would be open if we did nothing. Argentina does have a wide variety of natural resources that would make investments into it not the worlds worst idea. Plus if we keep the country stable it will help in things like the Falkland Islands for instance.
