"The Failure of Peer-Review":
In Nigeria, the so called "Ivory Tower intellectuals" thrive on the back of "peer-review." These "intellectuals" do not actual care about the papers they are trying to publish. All they care is the money. (Fiat ruined everything.) When it comes to data collection, how they do it is all a scam. Data forgery is a normal practice.
Unfortunately, final year graduating students in the higher institutions have also adopted the bad practice, forging data and results.
What surprises me the most is seeing those articles published on some of the world's top leading journals.
It's disturbing to see how the lives of innocent Nigerians ruined because of the lies that have been published about them in the name of research.
Peer-review is a mess and a scam. Sadly, science has suffered shipwreck because of distorted peer-review practice.
Thanks for enlightening me.
