true enough
yeah :)
wow! that's an uncommon subject. So you'll be pursuing philosophy?
lol
the Quadrivium is the foundation of all that human psyche can understand... and that any foreign/alien intelligence can understand; all life is based in Quadrivium! the shapes and numbers are universal, have been around forever; the esoteric meaning of the numbers have not been taught in school; the magic relationships are not a funny coincidence, yet the school system has us believe that there's nothing to it beyond magic tricks;
Arithmetic (number) -> Geometry (number in space) -> Music (tempo)-> Cosmology (number & tempo in space)
these steps cannot be skipped; those who jump into Cosmology without thoroughly studying the Number will get lost in the weeds very quickly;

true enough, although in India we follow a different curriculum that is rougher, you can say. There is a big knowledge gap between Grade 12 -> IITs
Example for a person pursuing astrophysics:
Most students think “IIT = freedom to study stars.”
In reality, you’ll be hurled into a curriculum built for engineers, not dreamers of galaxies.
Your first two years - Mechanics, electrical circuits, calculus, thermodynamics, and a soul-crushing schedule of labs and assignments that test not curiosity, but endurance (nothing related to space yet)
Astrophysics comes after you’ve crawled through that engineering purgatory. It’s like wanting to gaze at the Milky Way but being handed a wrench to fix the observatory first.
Extremely basic curriculum idea:
- Tensor calculus (for general relativity)
- Quantum field theory (for particle cosmology)
- Numerical methods and differential equations (for simulations)
- Statistical mechanics and thermodynamics (for stellar structure)
till 2nd year 😂
Around 3rd year, when your peers are preparing for placements or startups, you’ll start realizing the price of genuine curiosity 😂
You’ll sit with research papers you can’t fully understand. Professors will talk in tensors and not simple english. You MUST earn trust through projects and papers and then you can get to tie-ups with IUCAA, TIFR, and PRL that too as an apprentice, then you have to do at least 10+ projects as an apprentice till you get access to a lab or project or funding.
By that time, your crush would have had a family with 2 kids and you'll be left gazing stars for the rest of your life :)

this is crazy; sacrificing so many years to live without a productive path here on earth!
astrophysicists in India must be quite disillusioned;
at the same time, are American astrophysicists more advanced in tools if not in the fundamental merits (i.e. Americans are not as good at solving complex equations with basic calculators?); i am not educated on the differences in curriculum and performance, sorry;
i also wonder if there is more esoteric cosmologists in India, who border on studying astrological-psychic phenomena?

nah it's totally fine, It's true that the Science and Tech field in India lacks cutting-edge infrastructure but more than lack of finance, the Indian Govt. (in present day scenario) seems not to be much interested in this whole "Survival of the fittest" race, it rather bends towards gaining world popularity as a "political" nation (only god can define the true definition of political for India) and investing money thereby as such....

yes there are, one of the famous contemporary Astrophysicists is Dr. Ashok Kumar Pal, I had a fortune listening to one of his breakthrough lectures on frame dragging

haha no, it's probably a side project. Randomness (especially entropy) is an integral part of cosmology and in that course you automatically pass through concept of neural networks, regressions and descents, decision trees and random forests etc. if you want to visualize your formulas and data
It's probably related to that.
In fact, I'm also working on a similar MLA project, specifically a human behaviour prediction engine
You'll find it on my GitHub - TiresiasIQ
People have already started copying my code without any credits
Idk who made this website on a modified version of a previous edition of TiresiasIQ and changing it to predict security vulnerabilities (which is of course and big feat and a lot of code changes, but at least they could credit me for the inspiration 😞)

that's the difficulty of the Great Work - u don't always get something in return immediately, however if it is definitely Great Work, u will reap immense benefits one way or another;
how have u tried applying ur skills to, say, lightning network and bitcoin decentralization? e.g. predicting optimal connections like amboss does it, but not in an evil surveilling way;

if scientists already study how to predict randomness vs control in the stock market, that basically means that AI manipulates the markets, universities study the effects of AI manipulation, and the only answer is how far back; note: the original stock market was trading chattel in exchange for promises;
