Hey, that rule actually comes roughly to the age I would feel comfortable to start dating: 21

But I would have absolutely no concerns only after 25, I think. So at my current age, I would say my personal perfect range is ±3 years.

Yeah it worked surprisingly well for my value system back when i was still on the market.

Your story reminds me of many internal monologues I've had trying to approach girls~~ I've never had to courage to share those.

I only met my wife in my 30s. You still have more than two years.
We met, and I proposed a year later. Still going strong 10 years later.

I was also quite desperate in my late twenties...
