After two years after the setup I reviewed and renewed the dead men's switch. Look here: #326762

If you did not do a transaction and moved at least one utxo in the wallet you need to send one utxo to yourself to invalidate the last dead men's switch transaction if you created one.

Then create a new transaction following the guide mentioned.

I think this is a good method to add some more robustness to your self sovereign bitcoin setup.
