This one is simply an ode to the beauty of Bitcoin. The piece is completed but I'll post first about its making.
A bit of teasing:
And here's the pencilling with a little ink already. You can see that the paper sheet is onto a wooden board. It's first dipped in water then tensed over the board with special tape that gets sticky with water. This allows for wet work without getting the paper to warp.
Inking is done and pencil is erased:
Detail of the ink.
Background. The outside of the central shape was covered with masking fluid, to protect it against the color from the background.
In this case, there was so much water, it succeeded to unglue the tape on the bottom side and allowed for the paper to warp a little. This can be annoying as the paint might collect in the recesses but in this case it went ok. And at the end, there are tricks to get the paper flat again.
Painting process is on! I always start by the darker areas.
Details. You can also spot masking fluid (the yellowish sludge), where there will be light colors.
Details.
And here are the very last ones, right before I completely finished it. This is where I add more small details, small shadows, small lights, re-outlining ....
The orange was the tricky part and I was a bit scared to even start it. But of course, at end, it's all about fixing problems.
All right, I hope you'll enjoy and see you soon for the complete piece!

Good stuff. I'm such an amateur compared to you.

Thank you :)
But please don't be so hard with yourself as I can see a lot of POW with your writings!

No, I meant specifically my drawings. I don't believe I'm hard here on myself, I just notice the differences. I'll draw nonetheless. I like to do it. In the end it's all about finding one's own expression and to just keep on painting.

Yes, I see your point :) And sure, to keep on is the key.

Are you professional. How long have you been drawing?

I think I can say I am, as I've been paying my bills with this activity for a while.
Drawing I'm doing since I'm a kid (I'm over 40) and I also been in an art academy but it was during teenage, no university. After that it's mainly in an autodidact fashion and then doing everything D.I.Y., from printing, exhibiting, selling etc...
