Myles Garrett had 5 sacks yesterday. Will Anderson Jr completely destroyed every member of the 49ers OLine. Brian Burns is tied with Garrett for the most sacks in the league. Byron Young and Nik Bonnito are right behind them. Aidan Hutchinson is having a good all around year with 6 sacks and also 4 forced fumbles. All of these players are having better years statistically than Micah Parsons, yet Parsons, who is having a good year, is the favourite to win defensive player of the year.

I think Parsons is getting a lot of credit for how much better the Packers D looks overall, which might be the case. I am not saying he isn't a great player or hasn't had a good year but it seems like he is getting the benefit of narrative more than actual production.
