According to Bloomberg, Amazon is making "significant" cuts to its Games Division as part of its sweeping layoffs, which aim to eliminate more than 14,000 corporate jobs.
The company is shifting its focus away from big-budget massively multiplayer online games (MMOs) like New World and is planning to close its development studios in Irvine and San Diego.
Amazon will continue to develop and release certain games, including March of Giants, the new Tomb Raider, and "casual and AI-focused games" for its Luna cloud gaming service.
