So I sent some sats to blixt wallet and it’s been hours since. Still not showing in balance and no channel appears to have been opened. Transaction confirmed on BC. Can’t find it under “on chain” part of the wallet either. Any ideas what happened?

This has happened to me before too.
All you need to do is resync
reply
I did. Still nothing :(

Please be more specific:
  • you sent onchain?
  • you had activated auto channels open?
  • you sent to an already opened channel over LN?
  • is your Blixt node correctly synced?
  • before you begin did you read all the guides?
We do not have a crystal ball to guess all these options and is quite important to mention details like these.

I downloaded blixt wallet on my iphone. I didn’t change any settings. From the main screen I clicked on “receive” It says send at least 540 sats and “Dunder LSP” will open a channel for you. I sent 7000 sats from cashapp to the lightning invoice generated by blixt wallet. Cashapp says it “sent”. Also received the notification from blixt wallet. But it suddenly disappeared.

OK that is clearing up. Indeed it will open a channel with Blixt node. If it didn't appeared yet in your LN channels is because you are out of sync. Please read: https://blixtwallet.github.io/faq
reply
Cool. It’s been at least 3 hours though
reply
Usually dunder channels are opening instant. That means you are out of sync. Check your connection and read the FAQ, you have clear information what to do.
Here is how Dunder channels works: https://blixtwallet.github.io/guides#guide-lsp Here is what you should do to get synced: https://blixtwallet.github.io/faq#no-sync

Stop being so brutal
I've spent days and days testing and writing all kind of guides about how to use these wallets. ofc I will be brutal when I see that people don''t even bother to read BEFORE using any wallet, but then know to complain about their mistakes.
I wrote all those guides exactly for noobs like you to avoid making these mistakes.
reply
You learn by reading first the documentation. Seems that you just started blindly. Blixt is not for total noobs, is more for advanced users, that really know how LN works.
reply
I see. I saw it recommended a lot here and decided to try it :)
reply
That doesn't mean you should ignore reading the documentation first.

I don't have experience, but that still sounds like way too little. Every node operator has their own rules, but from what I've seen, the minimum is around 100k.
