Seems like power would be out, and therefore internet down. Hard to imagine Bitcoin working very well at all.
But...if we got to the post-apocalypse stage: mesh networks and Bitcoin would totally be a pretty cool way to bring back money. But I think it would mean many different bitcoins, because it's unlikely there would be a unified world-wide internet.

I hope someone walks us through this in detail.
One thing that comes to mind is that hash rate would presumably collapse and it might be a very long time before we get to the next difficulty adjustment, so there may not be any blocks found for quite a while.

Did you know? When a zombie apocalypse occur?
the WiFi tower went down today, and i only have a wired connection directly to the router... i had to reposition laptops, switches, and wires, while attempting to make the emergency setup baby-proof; it felt like a drill for the zombie apocalypse; i expect the outages to get worse than that, of course!
It's a good question what causes us bitcoiners such a big headache, but I know that Bitcoin will overcome all zombie attacks and the world's attack; Bitcoin will overcome all of that.
Wow, just got this in my notifications:
Welcome to the club of the infected!
