Howdy everyone!
So, as you all know, Murphy has some laws and they work so damn neat.
So, as per today, one of my tenants caused a flood (caused is the word cause it happened by negligence), so I’m now trying to prevent round two - and maybe cover other risks too - especially since I also have my own home where this can happen, plus another tenant.
To get back to my idea, I’m looking for:
- Flood sensors (probably 3 of them to begin with) with sound alert, Wi-Fi, and app notifications
- Smoke sensor with the same setup
I’d like to keep the cost decent but still get something reliable and easy to setup as I am not super tech and not willing to invest in making everything smart home style.
Right now I’m using Shelly H&T for temperature and humidity in all locations (due to a tenant causing mold because of not airing the place at all).
So.... maybe I should just stick with Shelly sensors? so I don’t need another app on my phone? Do you have any inputs on Shelly? I now how to use Google but human input is always much more appreciated by me.
If it's worth mentioning I am on Android and not willing to shift to Apple in the future.
Anyone here using flood or smoke sensors that actually work well?
Would appreciate any feedback or setups that worked for you.
Thank you!
