No opponent was announced which is kinda a bummer. I "love" how Commish Bettman has prevented Houston from trying to get a team before (he/the NHL blocked Tilman Fertitta from bidding on the Coyotes because “the NHL views Houston as an expansion target, removing the ability for us to purchase and relocate an existing team”).

Essentially it seems the NHL wasnt roughly $2 billion from Fertitta to build up a team from scratch and I don't think that Fertitta wants to build an organization from scratch.

Giving the Stars a in state geographic rival I think would only super charge the attendance. The Stars already have one of the highest attendance games ever.
