Rockstar attempted to end the controversy surrounding the recent dismissal of over 30 employees with an official statement. The company revealed that the dismissals have no relation to unionization attempts, but rather to the leaking of confidential information on forums frequented by people outside the studio.
In a statement sent to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, the company declared that it “took action against a small number of individuals who were identified distributing and discussing confidential information on a public forum, in violation of company policies,” reinforcing that the decision “has no connection with the right to join a union or participate in union activities.”

Rockstar takes seriously their confidential information and GTA 6 leaks was a huge fail. I’m happy to see Rockstar still being the best game company ever. I hope they don’t disappoint me with gta 6.
