We are seeking a Marketing Lead who is a passionate advocate for self-custody and freedom tech. This role is responsible for directing our public voice, coordinating marketing campaigns, and cultivating a global community that is informed and engaged. This is a critical leadership position for someone who understands that technology can be a powerful force for human flourishing.
Core Responsibilities
Strategy & Partnerships
- External Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary marketing liaison. This includes managing relationships and coordinating efforts with our PR firm, conference and event planners, and key external content creators/influencers to maximize brand reach and media coverage.
- Proactive Public Relations: Actively seek out and engage with influential posts, topics, and conversations relevant to Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, and the broader themes of freedom tech and financial privacy.
Content Creation & Distribution
- Self-Custody Education & Tutorials: Create, produce, and share simple, engaging video and image tutorials that highlight key features and best-use cases within Cake Wallet and Cupcake apps.
- Executive Content Amplification: Manage the process of clipping and sharing high-impact highlights from podcasts, interviews, and webinars where Cake Wallet team members are featured, ensuring maximum audience reach and message consistency.
- Long-Form Content Strategy: Develop and execute a consistent content calendar, including crafting clear, unique, and insightful long-form content (e.g., threads, blog posts, detailed updates) that educates our audience on privacy, self-custody, and financial empowerment.
- Trend Monitoring & Rapid Response: Stay current with the latest viral topics, cultural conversations, and breaking news. Strategically jump on relevant trends to increase brand visibility and drive timely, high-impact engagement.
Community Management
- Channel Oversight & Engagement: Actively monitor, manage, and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all primary social media platforms (e.g., X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.). Foster a positive, helpful, and engaged community presence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading marketing or social media efforts, preferably within the privacy, self-custody, or financial technology (FinTech) sectors.
- A deep, demonstrated understanding of Bitcoin, Monero, and the Ethereum ecosystem—and the cultural nuances of their respective communities.
- Exceptional project management, writing, and communication skills with an ability to distill complex topics into clear, accessible, and mission-driven language.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling, educational content across various formats (video, image, text).
- Strong organizational skills and experience using social media management, content editing, and analytics tools.****
