It’s really stunning how much better the Western Conference is. There’s not much difference between the top tier East teams and the third tier West teams but the East teams have much easier paths to the finals.
Should any of the lowly teams have made the list? I haven’t given up on the Pacers, despite their horrible record.

Just going to ignore the fact that the Raptors are a top 6 team in the East and have played a more difficult schedule than the Hawks and that the Hawks clearly play better without Trae Young.

Hawks have looked good recently. They might be able to hang with the Raptors and battle for the 5/6 seed.

I did originally have the Raptors on that tier but they got bumped for the 76ers and Bucks.

They are better than all the teams you have listed in the East Playoff Field. All of them.

They still need to rebound a bit better and shoot a few more 3s. They are 37.9% from 3 this year which is top 10 in the league and a big improvement for them. But overall I think they are playing really well and I like the rotation they are using. The team is pretty deep. Walter seems to be developing as well which gives them even more depth.
They should probably trade for Giannis. They would be the best team in the East.

My watching has also been pretty limited and they looked awesome when I saw them.
Mostly, I think there’s an enormous chasm between OKC and everyone else
