I wonder how he can do it every second. Relying on identifying peaks in a distribution means you need fairly substantial amounts of data. I doubt there are enough transactions for this to work on second-by-second data. Probably there is just a rolling window which is updated every second, but it's not quite saying that the data resolution is per second
