The urgency is unfair imo. If the product has real demand, the demand is not going to disappear in a matter of weeks. I'd only be worried if the demand is being cooked because that's relatively expensive to maintain.
Early demand like this, if this isn't just a brain melter's socially manipulative bullshit, suggests there's tons of demand to replace whatever he's worried about losing in the next few weeks.
This is a lot like founders believing their product needs to be perfect at launch. It usually means one of two things:
- they're wrong, the product will eventually have enough value to succeed and the launch is irrelevant (launching later just delayed getting valuable feedback)
- they are afraid their product has no value, so believe it needs to be perfect to have any value. if it needs to be perfect to have any value, then it's probably not going to succeed anyway.
The post feels manipulative, tbh. I don't really believe it. Maybe I'm being too suspicious

I'm not sure it's intentional, but I think some people have an innate manipulative desire/ability and have a hard time noticing because they are their universe's center.
We see this kind of thing in bitcoin a lot, where people actively try to get people to confuse their product's success with bitcoin's. I find it nauseating.
