pull down to refresh

Favreau and Filoni had written a fourth season of The Mandalorian by February 2023, but production on the season was delayed by the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes. During this time, Lucasfilm re-evaluated their plans for the franchise and decided to prioritize a Mandalorian film over the fourth season. The Mandalorian and Grogu was announced in January 2024. Filming began in California by August 2024 and was completed by that December.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 22, 2026.
This new trailer played before the Predator: Badlands and literally no one said a peep. If you look at the comments, seems like Star Wars has lost their core base of fans.
What’s interesting everyone believes it’s the person in charge, Kathleen Kennedy after awhile you do have to question the person who is appointing and leaving that person in charge, Bob Iger.
Adam Driver recently revealed in a conversation with the Associated Press that he had once been attached to a Star Wars film project titled "The Hunt for Ben Solo" with heavyweight Steven Soderbergh. According to Driver, the project was approved by Kennedy but shut down by Disney leadership, specifically Bob Iger and Alan Bergman.
We have seen some stupid moves from Disney the past few years, maybe they really did just fire or lose a lot of talent and/or maybe it was Bob all along.
Just goes to show nothing as it looks like to the fans and if 💩 is going bad it’s usually terrible decision making at the top.

I think Star Wars has lost its core fans. I grew up being maybe a B-tier Star Wars fan. Like not an uber-fan, but I'd still be interested every time they released something new. Now, i literally do not care and don't even pay attention. Even some A-tier fans that I know don't care anymore. People are going to study the demise of Star Wars as an example of how not to run a brand.

💯 agree, based on all these reports sounds like a lot of greed and power trips going on over there.
Creative people only want to play with other highly creative people.

Yep, greed, power trips, and not understanding what fans really want.
Greed, because they were pumping out too much content too fast.
Power trips, because they appointed people to head projects based on politics rather than talent.
Not understanding what fans want: it's shown in their indecisiveness and lack of vision for episodes 7-9.

As South Park said of Kathleen Kennedy, "Put a chick in it and make it lame and gay!"

I am still going to watch it. Haha
