I find that I personally will Not even click on something that is out right clickbait. My fight or flight kicks in and I look away.
Will you watch something with a outright ClickBait image?
reply
Depends what kind of clickbait, I guess? I enjoy watching GothamChess for example, but his thumbnails are outright clickbait and I think he's very self-aware about that.
However, when my YouTube Shorts feed is full of scantily clad woman, I get annoyed and click the "x" button to hide Shorts, which unfortunately isn't permanent.

I picked Other but should've went with 1, they are a form of art.
Just like all art there's a little crazy in there, like putting Darth's mangled finger on a thumbnail lmao
reply
I thought it "convenient" that he injured his bird finger.

i wouldn't call it clickbait, but i would say on the average, overall, it's often too much to look at in one thumbnail. I think it's mostly the noise of color, if you could filter all the images into two standard colors... well idk that could be boring. thumbnails are tough and i don't have good design intuitions about them. mostly because clickbait is what you want, generally

As I have mention to Car once or twice, I personally don't care for ClickBait and I try to keep it to minimal. I try to go for "clever" in my designs.

Do you mean something like this:
reply
yeah I see it in this example where there is a minimal background in common for each image to bounce off of

I couldn't say, bc my filters are on, ser.
