Over the past 6/7 months, I've been tracking Bitcoin Core comments if they include the words "followup" or "follow-up".
The way I have been doing this is with a quick little Python bot that I wrote. Initially, I wrote this bot to help me identify changes that I could work on, which it has really helped me find. I also figured that if I can find use of it then I'm sure others would too.
It is basically just a website with my GitHub issues.
To give you an idea of how many follow up are created and how frequently, here are how many I've seen (keep in mind some might be false positives or already complete in the PR)
I hope others can see this post and attempt to contribute to Bitcoin Core, because I know one of the hardest things to do in an open-source project is to know how you can help. What I've found is that firstly, review is the best way, and secondly, is to help fix something that was already mentioned as an issue.
There is plenty to improve so if you have any suggestions, ideas, or any other thoughts I would love to hear.
I also automatically post when there are new follow-ups to my X account https://x.com/KevKevPal, and it is also the best way to reach out to me!
Thanks and happy building!
