If you were using LightningWatch Bot to check your node for downtime you may have noticed your lightning channel with the bot was forced closed in October. This was because their node crashed (hard).1 Marnix Schoorel, its developer lost a lot of funds in this crash. Was not pretty.
Good news is he has bounced back and now has a new and improved Lightning Watch Bot that does not require opening a Lightning channel like the old one.
πŸ‘‰ Open Telegram and say /start to @lightningwatchbot
If you previously had a watch set up, it should recover your funds.
LightningWatch checks your node (all applicable addresses: ipv4/ipv6/tor) every 15min and reports down after 5 min (5 tries).
It is free to use but notifications will be delayed 1 hour.
To support the developer consider the paid option (50 sat/day) and Watch Bot will notify you instantly when your node goes down.
Your node will be unstoppable πŸš€
Feedback is welcome here.
