The Raiders have the worst offensive line I've ever seen and it's hard to imagine the O-Line coach still has a job for any reason other than that he's the head coach's son.
Geno and Ashton are facing unblocked defenders every time they touch the ball. Nobody seems to know who they're supposed to block and often they get tossed aside like children.
The personnel choices are truly inexplicable. In recent drafts, not only did they draft JPJ to play center but they had previously drafted Dylan Parham to play center. For reasons absolutely no one can fathom, both of them have been passed over for center in favor of veterans who had never played center and who suck absolute ass when they do play.
Additionally, this staff drafted two offensive linemen on day 2 in this year's draft and are unwilling to let either of them on the field.
Someone just catapult Brennan Carroll into the Sun please, so we can move on from this disaster.

Haha. How did I miss this yesterday?
Two surprising things with the 49ers this year is their Special Teams doesn't suck anymore and their OLine has been decent.
reply
Not only are they playing both Parham and JPJ out of position at guard, but they are playing them each on the wrong side. Both have always been better on the side the other is on.

Look on the bright side. Moving up the draft board.
reply
We haven't had a massive QB draft bust in almost 20 years. That cannot stand.

Might as well trade up to 1 and do it right. Provided they don't get the number 1 pick on their own merits.
reply
You don't think we can get there honestly?

I have the utmost faith in the Raiders. Titans do still face the Browns and Saints. Might be another win in there for them. Maybe someone will kick the ball into their own endzone again.

I didn’t watch the game, but I followed updates periodically. Definitely frustrating to be tied at 7 at half and end up losing by 17, though the last 7 were unnecessary by LAC. Geno got it going in near garbage time, it seemed
reply
They had two decent drives in the whole game and both were more Bowers than Geno.
reply
I think it was the later one, geno seemed to hit several different targets. I only know because I was watching for a parlay like a hawk as the game neared the end
reply
I may have lost focus by then

If someone catapulted him into the sun, that person would have invented some catapult

And that invention will be the lesser part of the deed

How did the plays look, aside from the bad protection and blocking? Seem like people knew what to do route-wise?
reply
Hard to say. It still looked bad and Geno just held the ball way too long, which suggests the routes weren’t working.
