I view the US legal system as I would a natural hazard like earthquakes and tornadoes. You better pray it doesn't hit you, and just try to be prepared if/when it does. And no matter how prepared you think you are, it can still wreck you. Also, don't expect any rhyme, reason, or justice. It just... happens.
