Pretty sad story about a kid who seems exploited by the adults around him, including his schools and coaches. The story seems to blame NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rules, but I didn't really catch how so. It seems like a lot of the backroom deals this kid's family was offered was against the rules, even with NIL.

It sucks that talented kids get exploited but it didn’t start with NIL
