It's weird to see products adopt fashionable missions. Often they're not entirely orthogonal to what I assume the product's primary mission would be absent fashion, yet it gives me the sense that the product doesn't have that strong of a primary mission. It's like the mission is the result-of some ever-changing social consensus which is backwards. The mission should result-in some new social consensus.
