What a game! Bills get the job done in the snow and get a huge win at the. Here are my three takeaways

Is Josh Allen this year’s NFL MVP? This man is spectacular. This is probably the least talented roster in the Josh Allen era and time and time again the guy comes through. The touchdown pass to Shakir was just nasty. Then add on a 40 yard touchdown run and a 3rd and 15 scramble to put the game on ice. With James Cook all of sudden having fumbling problems in cold games everything I mean everything is falling on Josh’s shoulders and the man delivers.

The defense once again had zero answers. Most of the Bengals stops came from them either getting 2 or 4 yards running the ball or them passing. Tee Higgins hit his head and didn’t seem right all game long. But even with half of his mind gone he still cooked the Bills and made it game with that late one handed score. If it wasn’t for the fantastic pick-six by Christian Benford and another INT by the AJ I think the Bengals easily win this game. Taron Johnson, Cam Lewis, and Tre White were liabilities in the secondary today and Burrow attacked them without mercy.

The coaching was meh. McDermott wasted two time outs one on defense and the other on an extra point attempt like who does that? In big moments this coach seems to go brain dead. But one thing the McDermott showed was aggressiveness. Going for it on 4th downs switching from zone to blitzing (which allowed Tee Higgins to score late when the game should have been over).
With this win we increase our odds of making the playoffs and thus can’t be eliminated by those pesky chiefs. With 4 games to go as long as we go 2-2 down the stretch and if KC wins out buffalo will have the head to head tie breaker thus they can’t be eliminated from the playoffs by the chiefs.
I still don’t think this team is super bowl bound but looking at the AFC the Bills can beat any of theses teams in the playoffs. With Daniel Jones going down in Indy Buffalo has a shot to make the big game. Now winning it is still a long shot but the AFC is down this year. Lamar is meh, KC is meh, no one believes in Bo Nix and Drake Maye yet we just beat Burrow so maybe I was a bit harsh on the Bills but I still stand by this defense being not good enough to make the championship game.
Next week we try to get revenge against the Patriots on the road. Will be a tough one but hopefully Buffalo can pull it off and get within one game of 1st place in the division.
