I'd just started out reaching out to podcasters/youtubers to promote my book Bitcoin Hands On (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4SZSCH8). The first interview I did, the interviewer suggested that I needed to start posting on X.com (twitter).
So, I did. https://x.com/bitcoin_handson. I had read posts on x.com before, but never posted, and now I'm learning the ropes of that whole world.
My main problem is...wow, so far, it's an INSANE time suck. It could easily be a full-time unpaid job. I don't know how people that have multiple daily posts get anything else done at all. Because in order to actually post something real, you have to read what other people are saying. I go on there, thinking that I'll just do a quick comment, and before you know it, an hour or more is gone.
I really would like to make my book more widely known. I think there's honestly a huge lack of learning material that leads you, in a structured, easy-to-understand way, through the basic concepts of bitcoin, private keys, wallets, and transactions.
And NOT just shilling for a particular hardware or software wallet or service.
I agree we need more practocal books like yours in the privacy and Bitcoin space.
There is no two ways about it, marketing needs a serious plan, 50% of your time investment in the project, community help, and monetary investment to make it go faster (KDP ads, content and assets, distribution).

Yep, that's one of the reasons I didn't dive head first into social media. If you really do it right, it's a huge commitment. Most people have a team supporting them even if you just only see their face online alone.
