welcome to wonderland!
parasitology is an extremely niche and occulted science; due to confusion of language since the last great reset and the major intoxication of the human bodies and minds, the true effects of parasites on the body, mind, and humanity at large have been obscured from public eye; however, the panda eyes give it all away, and that shall be their downfall;
if u need a brief overview of what this is all about, read the introductory post: Occult Manipulators of Consciousness; u can see the rest of the investigative posts in the bio;
it's time for a book review!

What is PANDAS?

Demystifying PANS/PANDAS: A Functional Medicine Desktop Reference on Basal Ganglia Encephalitis Amazon link
Nancy O'Hara is a neurobehavioral specialist that specializes in healing kids with abrupt-onset neurobehavioral issues, and her reported estimate of this condition is about 1:200; stay tuned, it's probably much worse than that!
here is a brief explanation of what is PANS/PANDAS from Dr. O'Hara:
  • "PANS is Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome. PANDAS is Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus. These conditions are also known as Basal Ganglia Encephalitis, a form of Autoimmune Encephalitis."
  • "PANDAS is caused by a misdirected autoimmune response against self. Rather than the antibodies or immune system molecules simply attacking the strep germ in the throat or elsewhere in the body, these antibodies mount a response against a specific area of the brain called the basal ganglia. This is termed molecular mimicry and this misdirected or autoimmune response then causes a host of abrupt onset neuropsychiatric, behavioral and somatic symptoms."
  • "PANS is a broader term that includes abrupt-onset of neuropsychiatric symptoms caused by other germs including mycoplasma, viruses, and metabolic triggers such as pesticides."
the centralized medical media has similar definitions, with a general caveat that this diagnosis is hypothetical and controversial; of course...

How is PANDAS Diagnosed & Treated?

"Unlike some health conditions, there is no simple test to confirm PANS, PANDAS or BGE. Usually, a child will be diagnosed after a doctor has run lab tests to rule out other conditions, taken a full report of the child’s health history, and performed a physical examination..." and most importantly, "the severe behavioral, emotional and somatic symptoms in a child seem to appear almost overnight."
the lady-author of the book paints a broad picture of how the diagnosis comes to light and what type of approaches seem to work; she outlines a slew of herbal remedies, antibiotics, chelators, supplements, some DBT/CBT (Dialectical/Cognitive Behavior Therapy), among many others solutions, and encourages the readers to not give up;
the heart-breaking photo in the introduction is of a happy kid hugging his numerous pill bottles with a caption "it can be done!"
honestly, this doesn't look like a win to me...
Now, parasites get only 1 single-sided page as a potential cause of the disease, and later in the book, nematodes are even considered as a potential treatment option;
Nancy runs a pretty good-looking website where she accepts new patients and describes her research & findings; the treatment program is quite expensive, with virtually no guarantees, but there are many success stories; honestly, i think these are temporary remissions - without knowing the true cause, we are powerless!
check out this 19-min interview of a brave teenage girl with PANDAS, who has allegedly beat the condition: "Emma's Journey to Wholeness"; this girl's parents probably spent multiple thousands of dollars on the supplements and pharmaceuticals... don't get me wrong, i am not discrediting any effort in the search of truth; we all stand on the shoulders of giants!
my overall impression, based on my current understanding of parasitology and human behavior, is that the author is akin to a detective looking around the dark room with a narrow flashlight beam; she knows that a microorganism is at fault, but cannot put a finger on the exact causal entity; thus, the author entertains a shotgun approach to the ailment; honestly, even that approach is better than going on a demon drug: watch Generation Rx (2008);

Panda Eyes

consider the mainstream medical article about Racoon eyes, which lists a wide variety of conditions that can manifest in dark circles around the eyes, including but not limited to:
  • Trauma
  • Vasculopathy
  • Infection
  • Immune-mediated disease
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Malignancy
  • Genetic disorders
  • Peri-procedural trauma
in short, the alleged cause of the Panda Eyes is everything under the sun and the only etiologies missing are Demonic Possession as well as general fatigue & sleeplessness; i will not get into the nitty-gritty of the exact physiologic process that manifests in panda eyes; suffice to say that the more u read, the stranger it gets...
u may want to start paying attention to people around u and u will start seeing the dark circles around the eyes everywhere - at coffee shops, at work, on television, at home, and in the mirror... sometimes the sign of infestation is hidden by makeup and sunglasses, and sometimes it is over-emphasized; pay especially close attention to people on Ozempic... (Oh, Zombie... eeek!)
