I don't get this:
I deleted my atproto account not because of bullying, though that happened. I left because the community's response to my architectural critique demonstrated exactly the power dynamic I was warning about, while simultaneously making it impossible to discuss.
Whenever we work in public (though under nym it's still not really as awful as under name) we sometimes run into heavy conflicts with mobs. This has happened to me on multiple occasions over the years and I work on (what should be) boring shit - not as close to people's politics as social media protocols are. Nevertheless, quitting because of this, especially if you're a freedom maxi and you think you know something, doesn't help because even on bluesky you can just do things.
So I don't understand the quitting rationale. If an entire community tells you you are wrong, but you know you are right, then you don't quit?
I'm not sure if my view is tainted by my own past drama and stubbornness.
