Ok. I don't differentiate anything on the grounds of ethics. Gambling is gambling be it anyhow done.
I too believe in gambling for fun or entertainment is okay. But when it becomes like adiction, it's bad. In a bigger sense anything that becomes addiction isn't good.
BTW my understanding of is that betting through bookies is bad and predicting an outcome against peers is fun.

i was being tongue in cheek with the "ethical gambling" comment, but to me ethical gambling means not risking more than you can afford to lose, knowing when to walk away, knowing your limits and foibles
It also means, on the provider side, not using psychological tricks and nudges to drive addictive behaviors.
Whether it's a game of chance or a game of skill has no bearing on its ethicality.
