Are numbers reused? If so, is it not a huge security concern when activating a service?

@qecez and I discussed this in Twitter DMs but I wanted to put it here for others.
If your project is open source, https://bitcoin.design will do a free design review. I haven’t reach out to use the service myself or to see if I qualify but it’s a really awesome initiative. I recommend joining the slack channel as well.

This a neat application. Has anyone done this before with fiat? If not, what about Lightning makes it possible?
Who do you see using it? What are a few of the major use cases?

Yes, this has been done before (on the runet, mostly), we just made it easy to use (no accounts, no balance, lightning payments).
The main use case I'm seeing is using services requiring phone number verification without giving them your real one. For example, if you go ahead and create an account on Twitter you'll get blocked within two minutes until you also give them your phone number, despite the registration pretending it's not required (because once you signed up, it's easier to trick people into giving up yet more information than asking for it upfront).

I would incorporate that use case into your website copy because it’s really compelling
