What an ugly game it was right there for the taking. Here are my three takeaways:

1. Josh Allen played a terrible game. Some of the negative plays he made really hurt the team. Philly was dialed in and was not going to let James Cook beat them. Thus they forced Josh to beat them and what we got is the Josh Allen Experience. Makes great plays like the throws to Cooks and Shavers but then you get the bone headed plays the fumble and the sack that took them out of field goal range. Then for a chance to win the game Josh misses the throw. It is hard to be critical of Josh because the wide receivers are just bad and an offensive coordinator who make some really bad calls. I see way too many WR, TE, RB screens!! Brady called a freaking screen pass on 3rd and 9 with the game on the line! Like What the heck!!!
2. While the offense had one of their worst performances of the season the defense was absolutely lights out! Seeing the defense play so well gives me confidence the Bills may possibly make it out the AFC to make it to the Super Bowl. This Philly team will probably be the best offense they will face the rest of the season. While getting the lower seed will suck but if the defense can play like this in the postseason and we get marginally better play from Josh and the offense then the Bills can definitely get the job done. Hurts and Barkley were pretty much bottled up. Holding this team only to 13 points was fantastic
3. The refs in this game were awful. So many missed calls. Phantom calls were made. The refs were just bad. I don’t understand why the officiating is so bad in this league. Both teams got calls in their favor but I hate that. I watch football to see the team win. Refs take away from the players when they make dumb calls.

With this loss the Bills are eliminated from the division title and looking at a 7 seed wildcard birth. If that is the case we will play Denver to open the playoffs on the road. Not good. But honestly this is what this team deserves. The losses to Miami and Atlanta were inexcusable!! And now we have to go on the road all playoffs long to have a chance of making the Super Bowl. The defense looked much better today thus I feel a bit better about their chances but this offense still struggles to throw the ball.

Next week is a meaningless game against the Jets. And then we start the playoffs.
