People that think we are gonna get off oil are delusional or have no idea how much of our world is based on this amazing resource. I'm not opposed to alternatives but let the market decide.

Greenies will say that the oil companies get sweetheart deals from governments and thats true but that's not why they dominate. The get the deals because they dominated first.

Most green initiatives are completely proped up by government. I say cut all the handouts and see who wins. I think we know who would win.

And while we are at it, loosening the restrictions on nuclear would do more to reduce pollution than anything else. That's my sense at least. Cheap clean energy would revolutionize the world. But our ignorance and fear limits us.
