U.S. President Donald Trump said Saturday the United States conducted
a large-scale strike in Venezuela that resulted in the capture and
removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas.
Maduro.Maduro and his
wife were captured and removed from the country following the operation,
which was conducted in coordination with U.S. law enforcement
authorities, Trump said in a statement on Truth Social. No further
details were provided.
We all know what this is about.
In 2000 we had 9 central banks not controlled by them.
only 3 left today after this war against venezuela.
I think it’s more about oil and Russian / Chinese influence in western hemisphere than the Venezuelan bolivar
Petrodollar hegemony is backed by US military.
another false flag operation
How is this a “false flag”? Seems more straightforward that USA wants their oil and to remove a communist who was strengthening ties with China and Russia in close proximity to the states.
Whether it’s warranted or not is another question but false flag would suggest some sort of deception at play when the reality seems pretty open regarding strategic importance
Buahahaha you believe thst bullshit?
See? The false flag already function on you.
LOL people are so gullible nowadays.
What’s the actual play then?
Why The U.S. Wants Venezuela | Propaganda & Co.
The US is circling Venezuela with warships, but this isn't about "democracy" or "drugs." It's about securing the world's largest oil reserves to maintain dollar dominance-a system rigged by global elites to exploit our people. Venezuela's defiance, backed by China, Russia, and Iran, directly challenges US global power. The petrodollar system, which forces oil sales in dollars, is crumbling as BRICS nations trade in non-dollar currencies. Venezuela's 18 trillion in oil reserves could shift global energy pricing and currency dominance. The US must reassert control or risk its empire collapsing. This isn't just regime change-it's a desperate bid to preserve the petrodollar system that funds our enemies. Since Hugo Chavez nationalized oil in 2007, threatening Exxon and Chevron profits, the US has imposed sanctions, backed coups, and assassinated officials. China has invested $67 billion in Venezuelan oil, while Russia provides military support and Iran advises on sanction evasion. The BRICS alliance could finalize non-dollar oil trade, undermining the dollar's reserve status. The US empire's survival-and our people's future-depends on maintaining the petrodollar. Venezuela is ground zero in this global economic war.

@freetx's take is worth a read: #1402422
@bief57 what is going on there? Can you share anything?
@bief57 , Stacker News reporter on the ground.
Hi! I've already made a short summary

Thank you very much!!
It seems that if the capture of this dictator is true, the situation in my country Venezuela is one of anticipation.
good or bad?
I am not a fan of Trump saying we are going to run Venezuela
*Chevron and Exxon will run Venezuela
Even oil company wise it will be much more widespread then this lol
This was not in my 2026 bingo card. I never expected things to actually go this far.
So the real question is this actually a distraction for something else that is happening or about to happen?
Me too!
It does not work with ukraine because the dictator is an exchangeable puppet. We all know who is financing the war against russia with this proxy war.
Capturing Zelensky and bringing him to trial in russia will not free ukraine or its people. It only brings one clown to justice.
How is removing Maduro different?
It seems to be a reality: the US government has gone after terrorist and drug trafficker Nicolás Maduro.
Lol. The terrorism and drugs are sure to stop immediately.
Obviously, I don't think that will happen, but the fall of that government regime represents a major change in the territory.

If true, this would be a huge escalation with massive regional and global implications. Definitely something to watch closely as details emerge.
Wow 😅
Trump: "So, we are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition."

Aw fuck Trump said the U.S. is going to run the country till a judicious transfer of power can occur.....
Curious about the strength of the insurgency. Please let this not be another Iraq.
At the moment there isnt one. I dont see it becoming one strictly because we didnt put boots on the ground and we havent gone through and taken out all the leadership. Right now it seems to be a negotiation time to get a process together to transition the government.
wow, crazy!
Ya Putin y Trump son amigos hablan más que mis amigos y yo, basta que digan todos contra uno y uno contra todos... Y el cardenal ya a bajo.

Looks like an operation aimed at removing the Maduro government while tightening control over Venezuela’s oil exports and countering the regime’s external backers—China, Russia, and Iran. To a lot of Americans, that sounds like typical mafia logic: force first, legal story second.
