He may have saved his job getting in the playoffs. He's had a very strong run but very little playoff success in recent years is tough.

The only indictment I can think of for him is how he didn't win a superbowl with Lev Bell, Antonio Brown and Big Ben.

Outside of that he's gotta be one of the most respected coaches in the league.

I think the Raiders should move on from Carroll. It was a nice idea. They thought they could bring in a veteran QB and veteran coach and compete. They didn't. Time to hire a younger coach and draft a young QB.

Whether they do that or not is questionable.
