If I had to choose between tracks and rings, I'd also categorize rings as the next best thing, because these suck.

the conclusion of much curtain research

- moss green linen cuz basement
    - 1.5-2x the fabric width of the window for fullness
    - 6-12" taller than the window to make the window look larger
- curtain tracks, because for opening and closing regularly, rings (which I hate) are the next best thing
    - enough runners for 5 inch placement for a casual fullness
    - track extended wider than window, so open curtains don't block window
- cream (subtlely pink) linen as a valance to cover the track hardware
    - ideally attached to track with velcro
