Hey all, it's been too long since I've dropped by. But I want to celebrate and share some infectious energy with you all.

Damn I need to post more. Lost my old sign-in but I think I had about 75 posts before.

OK! So I'm a public high school Business and IT teacher and am definitely "behind enemy lines" or at least it feels like that most of the time. 🫠 The legacy education system is COOKED. Worse than you might even guess.

But I teach the students about BTC and spend my spare time developing orange pill entertainment stuff.

OK, so my latest endeavor is figuring out home mining and node running. Haha.

I'm candidate #1 for self induced headaches. But wow isn't it SO RAD to be more sovereign.

F@$%n rights! As we used to say.

Just recently was successful in opening a channel unilaterally, then clearing the inbound liquidity side, to then create a bolt12 offer to then have it time stamped by ocean as to get bolt12 lightning payouts for home mining. And then connected a different wallet to this new stacker news account via Nostr Wallet Connect.

🫠😳⛏️

I run Knots but am not overly spastic about the whole debate. Just lean that way to see if Ocean actually does decentralize mining etc. And Datum is intriguing too. But the debate isn't a debate at all, as it's just policy and knots IS core to about 99% so it's a lot of theatre and posturing. But I digress.

Bitcoin is a HELL of a trip and the learning never stops if you don't want it to.

So I'm mining a small amount of SATs and sending them via lightning to my node.

Alright alright alright!

This stuff is complicated and honestly a headache that could be avoided by being an NPC and just getting a Coinbase account, buying and HODLing... (😖)

But the ethos of never stop learning and challenging yourself is to keep sharp ---> Keep the skills up, keep gaining knowledge and leveling up so you can be more useful to those around you.

I encourage you to learn a new Bitcoin related thing this new year! Let's get after it!

🤘
