I fully agree with this. It is definitely a stat they should track. In some instances it might be better to throw a pick rather than turn it over on downs. If you have it at the opponents 45 and it is too long of a FG and you got for it. If you don't get it the opposition gets the ball at their 45 but if you throw a pick 20 yards downfield they get it at the 25.
