Valid concern. That's why I personally use Ledn.io - Proof of Reserves, ring-fenced collateral, no rehypothecation without consent. They came out of 2022 clean when others didn't.

Likely not a bad choice.
It is a 🚩 when rates are lower than even in DeFi.
