I’ve seen rumours the Raiders might trade for Lamar

reply

Yooooooooo wow. He's gunna be pricey. I think if they felt they were one player from a bowl away then sure it makes sense.

But there are so many holes in that roster that needs handling that perhaps the rookie QB contract cheat code is their better option. I'm not sure trading for Lamar immediately makes them competitive. But if Lamar's available every GM not picking up the phone and enquiring, isn't doing their job right.

reply

Arguably the Ravens have a similar amount of holes Lamar covers up

Would probably be 3 firsts and 2s as a starting package

reply

It could happen. It'll be all about which HC candidate makes the most compelling case for how to use that top pick.

The Raiders have $100M in cap space and the top pick, so they can go a lot of different directions.

If BFlo does leave MN. Then I'd like him at the Raiders. As my surrogate 2nd favourite team, I could live with that

reply

I don't think they're even planning on interviewing him. He's notoriously bad with young QBs and our entire purpose is maximizing Fernando.

reply

Fuel for that lawsuit 😉

I think now that the bills job is open, he may go for that. Josh Allen is effectively a finished product, defense needs some work. So long as he gets himself a decent OC I think Bills could be a good fit for him.

reply

From what I understand, Josh and Flores would do fine together. He doesn't like that QBs are treated with kid gloves, so he might appreciate how physical Josh is.

Definitely comparable, although Bateman seemed to emerge as a decent WR. Whereas WRs on the raiders are ... Jags.

They should bottle the joy, hope and optimism they have right now for when the Raider inevitably screw him up.

For someone whose team is always good, you get it.

The team better find a way to work this in. Personally, I'd like this to be his walk-on music.

PR team can't miss this. And if this doesn't immediately become a stadium chant from the fans I'm gunna be incredibly disappointed.

reply

Sometimes teams just blow these opportunities.

The Heat have never, to my knowledge, played Holding Out for a Hero when Tyler comes in off the bench, which they obviously should have done in every close game.

It's like the PR teams live under a rock.
