Home networks can be a complicated beast, and they can very quickly grow out of control for a few reasons. Unlike a monitored environment, you tend to use your home Wi-Fi network as a plug-and-play peripheral. There's the router, of course, but very soon you add in phones, laptops, gaming consoles, IoT devices, streaming boxes, NAS boxes, and more. You get what I mean. It's easy to see why the network stops feeling like something you actively manage and becomes background noise.
