I think he needs another season of failure, to get benched. Not be re-signed and join another team as backup first and then come to the 49ers for his reclamation.

RIP to Ewers I’ve realized he’s not that good he just lucked into Stroud and he doesn’t have someone like tha since they are getting rid of Tua
